Stealth: 303 Terry Fox Dr.
Project Overview
Named ‘StealthBuilding’ for its resemblance to a stealth bomber in plan, 303 Terry Fox Dr. is a black-glass curtain wall office building located on a lake overlooking the Marshes Golf Course. Views from all angles of the building are spectacular, encompassing the golf course, Ottawa River and Gatineau Hills. It was completed in 2001 in association with Griffiths Rankin Cook Architects.
PR-TY was responsible for base building design including interior lobbies, and coordination of the work of the consultant team hired directly by the Owner.
ln 2005, PR-TY Architects completed an interior fit-up of 18,760 sq.ft. of vacant space in the Stealth Building for Brogan lnc., a pharmaceutical research company. This fit-up consists primarily of office space with approximately 20% being enclosed offices and meeting rooms. Also included is a reception area, board room, lunch room, and an independent server room with its own power, HVAC and other systems.
ln 2007, PR-TY was retained to expand the tenant's area to provide additional office space including approximately 30% of closed offices and meeting rooms. These fit-ups total approximately 24,000 sq. ft. Our scope of work for both projects included: preparing layout options in consultation with client and developing the preferred solution; the final design of all aspects of the project; the coordination of the consultant team and landlord; base building modifications and BOMA certification; the production of contract documents for permit, tender and construction; the selection of material and finishes; contract administration (the project was completed under a Construction Management system); and close-out procedures.
PR-TY continues to provide professional services for this building on an ongoing basis in the form of feasibility studies, interior fit-up’s, and renovations.
