Rob McConnell
Robert McConnell is a Technologist and has worked with PR-TY since 1996 and has over 30 years experience developing detailed drawings for a broad range of building types including primary and secondary schools, arenas, community centres, commercial and office buildings,
Some of Rob’s more notable projects include Jet Engine Testing Facility for Pratt & Whitney, Fred Barrett Arena Expansion (2003), École élémentaire catholique Jean Paul II, Stittsville (2005), Smart Technologies Manufacturing Facility (2007), Jim Durrell Recreation Centre Renovation (2015) École Sainte Katerie (2014), Nouvelle école élementaire à Arnprior (2017),and most recently the Nouvelle école élémentaire à Riverside Sud (2019), St Joseph’s Coptic Church and Social Hall Navan (2019) and many others.
Rob is responsible for leading the project production team. He is responsible for the management and co-ordination of a multi-disciplinary design team in a support role to the project Architect. As project captain he is involved in the early stages of the project and ensures that the design concept is maintained and enhanced during the CADD generated construction documentation stage. During the construction stage Rob provides clarification, shop drawing reviews, and updates construction documents to reflect as-built conditions. In his multiple roles, Rob is available to the client’s representative at all times.
He has strong Autocad Drafting skills, and has experience with Sketchup 3d Software and Microsoft Office.
Rob graduated from Fanshawe College with a Diploma in Architectural Technology in 1983. He has been a member of the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) since 2009.
